Winter Solstice Esoteric Acupressure + Yoga Nidra

🌬🌧 Winter has arrived on Whidbey, and the Holiday Season & 2025 are weeks away.

Nature's energy is telling us it's time to turn inward, be still, go deep, and reflect on life, but the world is telling us it's time to socialize & celebrate religious holidays & usher in the new year.

This paradox can be a lot for so many people. Take time for yourself in the season of inward energy, gather in community to co-regulate, and learn a self-care ritual to carry you through the Wintering months.

We'll gather at the Whidbey Island Yoga space in Langley's Porter Building. I'll share information about Winter & the Water element from the Chinese Medicine perspective and an Esoteric Acupressure pattern to support you through the Winter season. Then, you'll create an intention for 2025 and plant its seed during the Yoga Nidra. We'll apply a provided essential oil to the points before getting comfy for the Yoga Nidra.

⭐️ Limited to the first 10 registrants, so register early. $30 includes a season specific essential oil sample and self-care ritual to take home & use for the Winter.

🌈 No experience necessary. If you can lie comfortably on the floor on a yoga mat with a pillow under your knees and covered in a blanket, then you can do Yoga Nidra. Bring your own mat & props to be supremely comfortable, but there are a few at the studio to use if you don't have any.

I love Yoga Nidra because it gives my nervous system a break from worries or stresses, helps me let go of whatever is weighing heavy on me, and provides deep rest & restoration.

Esoteric Acupuncture is based on Sacred Geometry, the Chakras, & the Kabbalah and profoundly relaxing, centering, & grounding.

✨ Join me Sunday, 12/22, 3:30-5p at 222 Anthes Ave, Langley in the Whidbey Island Yoga space.✨

Community Acupuncture

🫶🌈 Community Acupuncture: making acupuncture accessible to everyone. 🌈🫶

11 months ago, I started my acupuncture practice, Maven Alchemy, on Whidbey. From the beginning, there has been a great need for more affordable acupuncture. No one is currently offering Community Acupuncture here, so I'm answering the call.

The first offering was in October and the upcoming December dates are 12/7 & 12/21 at Whidbey Island Yoga in Langley. There has been great interest, so I am figuring out if I'll expand it to all Saturdays in 2025 (& maybe more).

Treatments are sliding scale ($40-50), delivered in a group setting, and tailored to your specific health needs (chosen from a menu of options). We can address all of your health needs, even back pain. We'll use points below the elbows & knees and on the head & chest that treat the entire body, so dress comfy. You'll remove your shoes & socks, roll up your pant legs & shirt sleeves, and relax back into zero gravity chairs in a room with 1-3 other people.

Take 45-60 minutes out of your busy week to relax and just be with other community members in a safe, quiet space overlooking the Village by the Sea & Saratoga Passage.

🧘‍♀️ Like practicing yoga together or meditation, the collective intention of healing taps into the ventral vagal state, creating an optimal environment for health and well-being. You'll be surprised by the collective healing potential.

🏠 Located in the Porter Building, 222 Anthes Ave, Langley, WA (2nd floor in Whidbey Island Yoga space).

Schedule here or text Vanessa at 512-934-1917.

Weekly Tuesday Trauma-Informed Yoga Nidra Class

This time of year, the energy begins to contract and go inward as we prepare for Winter.

I don't know about you, but everything feels pretty heavy lately. It feels like sorrow is permeating the air. When I feel this way, I go inward and turn to Yoga Nidra.

It gives my nervous system a break from worries or stresses, helps me let go of whatever is weighing heavy on me, and provides deep rest & restoration. In the last 4 years, it has been my go to for supporting my nervous system...and immune system.

Trauma-Informed Yoga Nidra Class every Tuesday beginning November 12th, 6:30-7:30pm, in the Whidbey Island Yoga space in the Porter Building in Langley.

No experience necessary. If you can lie comfortably on the floor on a yoga mat with a pillow under your knees and covered in a blanket, then you can do Yoga Nidra.

We'll begin by breathing together and doing a few Vagus Nerve exercises before getting comfortable for Yogic Sleep. Bring your own mat & props to be supremely comfortable, but there are a few at the studio to use if you don't have any.

✨ This class will be donation based with a suggested donation of $15, but $0 is required to attend. ✨

Come join community and build a resilient nervous system together. If nothing else, you'll get a good nap 😴

🏠 Located in the Porter Building, 222 Anthes Ave, Langley, WA (2nd floor in Whidbey Island Yoga space).
